CambridgeSide Hosts Canned Food Drive

Benefitting The Salvation Army of Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS (November 2023) – CambridgeSide has partnered with The Salvation Army of Cambridge to host a Canned Food Drive. Donations of new baking mixes, canned vegetables, stuffing mix, baby food and more are requested.

These donations will directly impact local families living in Cambridge and the surrounding area. Donations can be dropped off in the marked donation bin at CVS on Level 1, now through November 19, 2023. To make a monetary donation to The Salvation Army of Cambridge, visit SalvationArmyMA.org/Cambridge.

“We are thankful to CambridgeSide for partnering with The Salvation Army again this year to ensure that everyone has a meal to put on their Thanksgiving table. With increasing requests for assistance, this is a time when our communities can come together to help our neighbors in need,” says Major Judy Hart, The Salvation Army of Cambridge.

“CambridgeSide is pleased to continue our support to The Salvation Army of Cambridge with this important donation drive to help local families this Thanksgiving,” says Melissa LaVita, Regional Marketing Director for CambridgeSide. For more information, visit CambridgeSide.com.

About The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army annually helps 24 million Americans overcome poverty, addiction, and economic hardships through a range of social services. By providing food for the hungry, emergency relief for disaster survivors, rehabilitation for those suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, and clothing and shelter for people in need, The Salvation Army is doing the most good at over 7,000 centers of operation around the country. During times of disaster, 100 percent of designated donations to The Salvation Army are used for immediate response and long-term efforts. In the first-ever listing of “America’s Favorite Charities” by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Salvation Army ranked as the country’s largest privately funded, direct-service nonprofit.
