A Reimagined Destination

Situated on the Charles River across from downtown Boston, CambridgeSide is an award-winning mixed-use complex that features two levels of shops and restaurants and 162,000 sf of office space on Level 3. As part of recently approved rezoning, approximately 650,000 sf of office life science and residential space is being added to make CambridgeSide transformative redevelopment.

Upon completion, CambridgeSide will feature six interconnected buildings totaling 2 million square feet and includes retail, office, lab, residential and hotel uses.

Retail + Restaurants

Following a multi-million dollar rebranding and renovation, CambridgeSide features two levels of shopping and restaurants, including such sought-after brands such as Apple, Sephora, and The Cheesecake Factory. Currently under construction, CanalSide, a new food hall experience, will open in Fall 2024. 100 CambridgeSide Level 3 of CambridgeSide, offers a new, separate, street-level entrance, with an impressive double height lobby. Employees and guests take the private elevator to the Level 3, where ideas work and problem-solving is cutting edge. SmartLabs will open its newest location on the entire Level 3 space in early 2025.

20 CambridgeSide is located at the corner of Edwin Land Boulevard and CambridgeSide Place. Employees have direct access from the second floor lobby to two levels of shops and restaurants plus hundreds more within walking distance.

CambridgeSide Construction Updates

CambridgeSide's redevelopment will be built in multiple phases, while keeping CambridgeSide shops and restaurants in full operation, serving the community. The construction sequence has been designed to minimize impacts to surrounding community, pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles. The first construction phase began Fall 2021, includes 20 CambridgeSide (former Macy's) and 60 First (former Sears).

  • Substantially complete and ready for tenant fit out.

60 First Street

  • Substantially complete and tenant fit out ongoing.

Canal Park

  • Installation of drainage system.
  • Installation of underground electric for new lighting.
  • Preparation of areas for new stairs and ramps.
